The Council elects the president, first vice-president and second vice-president (the office-holders) bi-annually from among its members at the first or second council meeting following the annual general meeting of the Institute.

In order to allow for continuity, the serving second vice-president is usually elected as the first vice-president and the serving first vice-president as president.

The current-office holders are:

President: Mr. Michael A. Itegboje , FCS

First Vice-President: Mr.Murhtala A. Olushekun , FCS

Second Vice-President:  Mr. Emmanuel O. Ohanwusi, FCS

The office-holders and the Registrar/Chief Executive, Mr. Oluwatoyin A. Olorunleke form the Principal Officers of the Council.
