Welcome to the examinations sections. The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) provides students the unique opportunity of registering for any or both of two internationally recognised professional examinations leading to the award of our globally recognised membership and certification and/or membership of the Association of Certified International Investment Analyst (ACIIA).

To become a registered student of the Institute, you must meet the minimum qualification for registration.  

You can study for ACS qualification if you have a minimum of first university degree or an HND in any subject. If you have a professional business qualification approved by the CIS Council for student registration, you will be able to study for ACS qualification and you may also qualify for exemption from some or all subjects in Level 1 of the current examination. You do not need to have studied finance or related subject at degree level.

The Association of Certified International Investment Analysts (ACIIA) was established in 2000 as a not-for-profit organization limited by guarantee and is registered in Switzerland. Objectives of the ACIIA are:

1.To Encourage and provide a forum for the creation and interchange of ideas and information in the finance and investment field. 2.To support and promote the interests of the investment community 3.To promote ethical behavior in the industry.
