EXAMINATION ENROLMENT PROCEEDURE

(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR EXAM ENTRY)

1. Only registered students of the Institute can validly sit for
  the CIS professional examinations.
   
2. It is the responsibility of the student, as the examination candidate,
 
to enter and pay for the correct examinations and outstanding subscriptions and fees prior to the appropriate closing date of January 31 for March Examinations or July 31 for September Examinations.
   
3. After the standard closing date for an examination diet has passed,
 
late entries will be subject to a late entry fee of N5,000.00. Examination entries will NOT be accepted after the last date of acceptance for a diet has passed.

Applications with incomplete Examination Entry Forms or the incorrect examination fee(s) will NOT be processed.
CIS will ONLY process Examination Entry Forms that it has actually received, and under no circumstances shall the CIS be responsible for any delay in the receipt/loss of Examination Entry Forms and/or payment details sent by mail.
 
5. Candidates should submit a completed Examination Entry Form, together with the correct examination fee(s),
  to the CIS in person, by mail or online on or before the enrolment deadline. Applications received by the CIS by fax, email, and/or after the enrolment deadline will NOT be accepted.
   
6. Candidates must fill in their address for examination communications. This address will be used by the Examination
  Department for all correspondence being issued to the student. If a student wishes to change this address, he/she must contact the Examination Department directly.
   
7. An email will be sent to candidates as an acknowledgement of entry. If a candidate has not received an email
  within 14 days of submission of his/her entry, he/she should contact the Examination Department immediately. Candidates must fill in their email address in the space provided on the form.
   
8. Upon entering an examination you may only defer to the next sitting if you are too ill to attempt the examination.
  Such a request must however reach the Secretariat not later than February 28 and August 31 for March and September examinations respectively, supported by a medical certificate.
   
  You will however need to obtain and complete fresh examination entry form for the following diet if you intend to sit the examination and will forfeit 50% of the examination fee already paid, to cover administrative expenses. On no account will examination fees be refunded to candidates who failed to sit for an examination. Back To Top
   
9. Please refer to Examination Regulations and Syllabus Handbook , for our deferment policy on examination fees.
  If you wish to defer an exam already entered for, please download and complete the deferment form.
   
10. Although CIS will always attempt to enter you for the venue you have chosen, our examinations venues may
  change and we reserve the right to enter you for the closest next venue. Confirmation of your exam entry and venue details will be included in your Exam Attendance Notice which you will receive at least 2 weeks prior to your exams.
   
11. The CIS has full discretion to adjust the examination fees at any time. When an adjustment is made, a public
  announcement will be displayed at the CIS office and/or posted on its website.
   
12. The CIS reserves the right to refuse enrolment of any candidate to the examination.
   
13. Applicants are advised to keep a copy of the completed Examination Entry Form and the payment deposit
  form (if applicable).
