The CIS is governed by a Governing Council of 27 members made up of elected, appointed and ex-officio members. The Council has overall responsibility for the administration and general management of the Institute. It is empowered to do anything which in its opinion is required to facilitate the carrying on of the activities of the Institute.
The Principal Officers are charged by the Council to run the day-to-day activities of the Institute. Below are the members of the Principal Officers and their biography.
President/Chairman of Council
Mr. Dapo Adekoje is the President/Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He has a very strong background in Investment Banking, Marketing and Management. Mr Adekoje is a graduate of the Centre for Business Studies, Greenwich, London, an alumnus of the New York Institute of Finance, and holder of a Master's Degree from the University of Hull, London.
He attended the leadership course of Manchester University and started his Investment Banking career with Halifax Building Society (now Halifax Bank), London. He later worked with Trade Bank in Nigeria, where he was seconded to the stockbroking firm, Professional Stockbrokers Ltd. Adekoje's over two decades experience is acclaimed for his exceptional devotion to building and leading integrated and marketing operations for high profile companies.
He is a member of the London Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Management Specialists, London and Institute of Directors, among others.
Mr. Olatunde Mohammed Amolegbe, FCS - First Vice-President
Olatunde Amolegbe is a Chartered Stockbroker of 23years standing. He has a B.Sc. degree from University of Ilorin (1991) and an MBA from the same University in 2006. He also has a M.Sc. degree in Corporate Finance from University of Liverpool. He has attended various courses/seminars in local and International Institutions such as the Lagos Business School and the New Your Institute of Finance. He has worked in organisation such as:
- IMB Securities, (a subsidiary of International Merchant Bank Plc)
- Securities Solutions Ltd, (a subsidiary of FSB International Bank)
- Legacy Pension Manager Ltd
- Peninsula Asset Management & Inv. Co. Ltd
He is presently the MD/CEO of Arthur Steven Asset Management. He is a consummate Investment Banker, Asset/Portfolio Manager, Securities Trader and Investment Research Analyst. He spends his past time reading and playing Lawn Tennis. He is married with children.
Mr. Oluwole Ololade Adeosun, FCS - Second Vice-President
Oluwole Ololade Adeosun is is the Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer of Chartwell Securities Limited. Chartwell Securities Limited is registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission as a Broker/Dealer firm and an Issuing House. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Intercontinental Securities Limited from 2000 -2007. Prior to this, he held various senior positions in Intercontinental Bank Plc between 1991 and 2000 as Group Head, Investment Banking and Group Head, Corporate Banking.
He served as a pioneer member of the Governing Council of the Federal Government promoted Abuja Securities Exchange (now National Commodity Exchange) from 2005-2007. He was elected the Second Vice President of The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers in April 2018. He is currently serving as a National Council Member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange upon his election in September 2017.
He obtained B.Sc. (Hons)Business Administration degree in 1986 from the University of Ilorin. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in May 1991 while in Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterHouseCoopers) and thereafter proceeded to the University of Lagos for the Executive MBA (Finance) program. He was at the prestigious New York Institute of Finance for the flagship US Capital Markets program amongst other executive training programs. He enrolled for the elite Lagos Business School Chief Executives Program (CEP15) which he completed in May 2006.
He holds a Multiple Registration Status with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and is a Fellow of the following professional bodies- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Institute of Directors of Nigeria. He is a member of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria, Ikoyi Club 1938 and The Lagos Country Club. He is also a Minister of the Gospel.

Adedeji David. Ajadi, ACS- Registrar/Chief Executive Officer
Adedeji was appointed Registrar & Chief Executive of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) on the 13th of March, 2014. Prior to this, he was Acting Registrar & Chief Executive between March, 2013 and March 2014, and Assistant Director, Education and Training between May 2010 and February 2013.
Adedeji was awarded a Chevening Scholarship in 2016, jointly by the UK government and University of Exeter Business School based on which he attended University of Exeter (UK), where he obtained a MSc. Degree in Finance and Investment (2017).
In the course of his studies in the UK, he won multiple international awards, including Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) Top Postgraduate Award (2017), CISI Educational Trust Award (2017), and CFA (UK) Award for Outstanding Investment Analysis at the CFA Research Challenge, 2017.
He holds Bachelor's degrees in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (1991) and in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. He also obtained a MSc. degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan (1998).
Adedeji is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate member of both Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He is also the first Nigerian Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA Diploma holder).
His over 25 years post-graduate experience cuts across banking, management and finance consulting, accounting and auditing. He garnered extensive domestic banking operations experience while with Chartered Bank Plc between 1999 and 2005. He pioneered the operations of Ile-Ife branch of the bank in 2003 and ultimately led the branch to win the award of best performing branch in 2004.
From 2005 to 2006, he was Head of Research and Training at B. Adedipe Associates Limited, a Finance and Management Consultancy firm. He was a key member of consulting teams that handled a number of training, business strategy and recruitment projects for top Nigerian financial institutions including Central Bank of Nigeria, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, Associated Discount House, NPF Community Bank, First City Monument Bank Plc, Chartered Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc and Wema Bank Plc.
For over 23 years, Adedeji has been actively involved in training professional students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).
Adedeji regularly facilitates training courses in Finance, Accounting, Securities and Investment, and is currently a doctoral student (DBA) of Edinburg Business School, Heriot- Watt University, UK.
